Health and Wellness Top YouTube Channels

Today I’m sharing the top YouTube channels for health and wellness! The cream of the crop. The diamonds in the rough.

So to speak.

What makes me an authority figure in this area?

I may not be a YouTube influencer myself, but y’all. This is literally what I do.

When I’m at the gym, before I go to sleep, when I’m bored – I hop on YouTube! And not just whatever video happens to pop up (though let’s be real, the occasional “how to style your bun when you have like no hair” and “makeup tutorials for new years” certainly appear in my history).

No, I’m pretty much always watching health and wellness videos. Health is my passion. It’s my purpose. It’s why I’m a nurse and why I’m blogging about it. There’s always something new to learn, and I want to learn it.

So you can bet I’ve watched A LOT of health and wellness YouTube videos. There are some YouTubers’ channels where I’ve only watched one video and others that I’ve clicked off their videos halfway through (or earlier).

Sometimes it has to do with content, sometimes with personality.

But there are some health and wellness YouTube channels I keep coming back to time and again.

I took a peek at my YouTube history after making my list to make sure I hadn’t missed anybody. The channels on this list are those that inundate my feed. There are long strings of where I clearly binge-watched their videos, and they all appear multiple times across months.

So like I said, these are the elite. The top YouTube channels in the health and wellness biz. They feature original content, are professionally made, and are created by genuine people with lovable personalities.

Are you ready? ‘Cause I am.

Top 10 Health and Wellness YouTube Channels:

1. Pick Up Limes

This is one of my all-time favorites. The first thing you’ll notice about Sadia is the peaceful quality of her videos; this comes both from her personality and from her very professionally constructed sets. She even just got a new studio for filming and it’s gorgeous.

Besides all that, Sadia is a Registered Dietitian with a lot of experience. She works with clients one-on-one and from that knows the food challenges that many face in their daily lives. Her nutrition tips are spot on. She also shares amazing recipes (seriously, you HAVE to try out her Healthiest Granola), as well as produces videos on general wellness for a happier, more-fulfilled life. Like Jenny Mustard, she also enjoys a vegan lifestyle. And at over 1 million YouTube subscribers, clearly I’m not the only one who loves her videos!

2. Sanne Vloet

Sanne is a model with a passion for health and wellness. Modeling for brands such as Calvin Klein and Express, she’s also become well-known by walking in no less than three Victoria’s Secret fashion shows. While her channel began with vlogging her daily life, she’s begun focusing more on health and wellness videos. She includes everything from workouts to how to feel more confident.

If you love fashion and makeup then you’ll also love her other videos, as she has plenty of experience from her modeling career and gives great advice. Her videos just keep getting better and better.

3. Pamela Reif

You may have heard of Pamela, and if so I wouldn’t be surprised; she has millions of subscribers on YouTube.

She solely uploads workout videos that are probably the best there are. One of the many reasons people like her is because she usually doesn’t talk in her videos. Instead, you simply follow along as she does the moves.

Pam’s videos can be TOUGH, but I honestly like that. I just take a break when I need to. If there’s a workout I struggle with, I like to continue to tackle it until I see improvements. And if you don’t want TOO much of a challenge, she does have beginner and intermediate level workouts for getting started.

4. Good Eatings

Good Eatings videos are on another level. I could seriously binge watch them all day long.

Malin is a food YouTuber living in Sweden who shares wholesome vegan and gluten-free recipes. Every time I watch one of her videos, I instantly want to run to a farmer’s market and get cooking. She brings back those Ratatouille vibes, reminding you that cooking should be exciting and delicious.

You’ve got to check her channel out.

5. Jess Beautician

Once you watch one her videos, you’ll be surprised how many there are! Jess’s videos are all very in-depth and extremely well-made. As her name suggests, she’s a beauty therapist and many of her videos are tutorials, hauls, and reviews. But she also makes A TON of recipe videos. Some of her series include #VeganJune, #VeganNovember, and Vegan School & Work Lunches. If you couldn’t tell, she eats vegan. But I’ve made some of her recipes that have been greatly enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans alike.

While some of her recipes are a little long and can be quite involved, she walks you through the whole thing and writes out the instructions in the video’s description box as well. And not all of them are like that. I sincerely love her videos and bet you will too!

6. Carrie Rad

Carrie is someone who not only inspires me through her videos, but also her story. She used to work in a bank during the typical 9-5 hours; but she knew something wasn’t right. So she decided to pursue her passion for mental wellness and has taken off running with a bangin’ YouTube channel and blog.

Her videos focus on all things self-care and happiness. A truly beautiful person, I love how real she is. If you’re looking for some love and support, her channel is hands-down the place to go. She literally even puts in her “About” paragraph that her subscribers should “feel like they are getting a warm hug” while watching her channel.

I love that she gets it – she understands that life is hard and we all feel overwhelmed sometimes. Because she’s been there too.

It’s refreshing to find someone open about mental wellness who has some amazing life tips. This definitely qualifies her as one of my top wellness YouTube channels.

7. Downshiftology

Another inspiring person and story. Lisa Bryan was a company executive, working hard and sacrificing her own health and well-being in the meantime. Her life was changed when she was diagnosed with four autoimmune diseases. She turned to healthy living as a natural treatment and made some serious life changes.

Because of these experiences, she decided to become a health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and start Downshiftology, a YouTube channel and blog with healthy recipes and lifestyle tips. She’s another one with a calm and soothing demeanor, whose content is incredibly well-thought out.

Some of my favorites are her meal prep videos, as they make healthy meal prep so simple and easy.

8. Lavendaire

Aileen Xu is probably the one I’ve discovered most recently, which is ridiculous because her videos are amazing and have a HUGE following. Her focus is on mental wellness and achieving your goals for a more contented life. She covers pretty much all the subcategories in this topic, so whatever I’m looking for I know I’ll find.

In addition to a having a YouTube channel and a blog, Aileen also has a podcast called The Lavendaire Lifestyle. I haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet, but it covers the same topics as her other Lavendaire forums, and appears to be done with the same level of professionalism and elegance.

Her channel will definitely be one I continue following for a long time.

9. Muchelleb

MuchelleB is a fun, tell-it-how-it-is kind of person – I love it. She lives in Australia and posts about her journey towards minimalism and living the life you want. She’s got those videos I often catch myself binging and have to remind myself they’ll still be there when I get back on YouTube later.

I’ve found so much helpful advice in her videos, and her aesthetic is very uniform and calming. If you stumble across a MuchelleB video, you’ll know it’s hers. Whenever I finish watching her content, I’m instantly encouraged to get off my butt and go after all the things.

10. Magnus Method

Magnus Lygdbach is a crazy knowledgable fitness trainer and nutritionist. He’s been in the fitness world for a long time and it’s very apparent. If you haven’t heard of him, you’ve probably heard of some of his clients: he trained Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman, Alicia Vikander for Tomb Raider, and Ben Affleck for Batman – to name a few.

I have long been a fan of Magnus and was beyond thrilled when I learned he started a YouTube channel. Trust me, his videos have some of the most valuable fitness information you can find.

I cannot recommend these top YouTube channels listed above. All of them continue to inspire me, motivate me, and be wonderful resources for health and wellness information of all kinds. If you are looking for more healthy living tips and tricks from people who have “been there, done that”, the 10 YouTubers above are the ones for you.

Happy YouTubing!
