It’s almost that time again!
Yes, I’m talking about Amazon Prime Day. While I’ve never been one to hop on the bandwagon for big sale days, last year I finally caved. I bought a new, bigger TV during last year’s Prime Day for such a good deal, I think I’m converted for life.
So now that Amazon Prime Day has been announced, I’ve been working on a list of things I need so I can take full advantage. And my list, of course, includes exercise equipment.
I’m a very frugal person, so I really only purchase something – even fitness supplies – if I really think it’s going to get good use. When I bought the current laptop I’m using now, I waited until my old one was practically unusable. Even then I only hit the buy button with my boyfriend’s encouraging voice in the background saying, “Just click it!”
Although gyms and studios are opening back up now, I still have been working out at home and know plenty of other people are too. It’s so important to invest in some quality supplies for home workouts, things you know are going to last you for years.
I’m going to share the Amazon workout gear I’ve gotten in the past and love, and the other part of my list will essentially be my own wish list haha.
So let’s get to it!

Amazon Prime Day – Fitness Edition
What is Prime Day?
Before I dive in, I get that not everyone knows what Prime Day is.
In a nutshell, it’s a big Amazon sales event that comes around once a year. Loads of things are available for generous discounts, spanning across all categories.
Although it’s called Amazon Prime DAY, it’s actually a 2-day event this year (June 21-22, 2021).
Prime Day has become the new Black Friday and Cyber Monday, except even better. Because unlike the late November deals, Prime Day has even better for discounts.
I don’t want a BOGO stationary bike – I just want to get ONE for a good discount!
Can anyone shop Prime Day fitness deals?
As the name suggests, you have to have an Amazon Prime account.
If you don’t already, they actually offer a Free 30-Day Trial. So you can always try it out and enjoy the lovely Prime Day perks while you do.
Amazon Fitness Equipment I Love
So first things first, let’s go over the Amazon exercise equipment I know and love. Keep an eye out for these fitness deals on Prime Day.
1. Pull-Up Bar
I’ve had this pull-up bar for about a year now and am SO happy with it. It actually screws into the doorway so I’ve never been worried about it crashing down on me while in use. The grips are comfortable and the scores on it help me position my hands consistently. It’s certainly an advanced workout tool, but if you’re interested in working on pull-ups, I recommend this over anything else.
Here’s footage of me checking in on my max pull-ups progress at the beginning of 2021:
2. The Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises
I don’t know why I keep sharing this one because it’s going to put me out of business haha. But it’s such a great resource that I use at least once a week. This book has hundreds of exercises with excellent images. It shows progressions to make moves harder and regressions to make them easier, plus has lots of workouts. It would especially be a great follow-up resource for those who have finished my 30 Day Weight Loss Kickstart program.
3. Exercise Mats
I’ve got a few different recommendations here. First, I’m a huge fan of Gaiam – even though I honestly still have no idea how to say the name haha. My first ever yoga mat was a Gaiam and I still use their mats to this day. Your cheapest option will be the Premium 5mm Solid Yoga Mat. While I already have one, I’m obsessed with this color:
This mat is a good in-between for more cushion. While I wouldn’t use it for yoga (you may have some hand slipping), it’s great for home strength and ab workouts:
Lastly, if you need a mat with lots of cushion, I recommend this one from BalanceFrom. Great padding without being too soft:
4. Leggings
I was on the hunt for a good pair of Amazon leggings for awhile. Many are pretty tempting at only $20, but the first couple pairs I tried just didn’t fit quite right.
A month ago I followed the recommendation of a fashion blogger/Instagrammer @michelejaliene and finally found an Amazon pair I love. So here I am passing on the recommendation! (I got the deep gray camo.)
5. Garmin Forerunner 35 Running Watch
Amazon Prime Day fitness deals notoriously include tech, such as smartwatches. Garmin is a leader in the running watch industry, so if you’ve been considering one now is the time.
Last I checked, this one was already on sale:
Prime Day Fitness Deals I’m Watching For
Here are the things I would love to get if they go on sale. Some sales start early and others are shared day-of, so my strategy will be to check back frequently if there’s no discount at first.
1. Dumbbells
While dumbbells were hard to come by last year, it seems manufacturers are starting to catch up with the demand. However, many online dumbbells are still priced higher than pre-pandemic – when they were already a decent investment to begin with. I’m keeping my eye out for discounts on a couple different Amazon dumbbell. I’d love to add a 15 lb set to my home collection.

2. Bench
While training clients at home, I found an incline bench to be a top piece of equipment – and have really been wanting one myself! From step-ups to incline bench presses to kneeling rows, a bench is a very versatile piece of equipment.
The best thing about this particular bench is that it not only has an incline, but also a DECLINE. The bench itself is also rectangular, making it perfect for leaning against for glute raises.
3. Stationary Bike
As the summer heat cranks up, I’ve been really wanting a good form of indoor cardio. While treadmills go for hundreds – even thousands – of dollars and are bulky, a stationary bike would be a great low-impact option. I’d love to pop it in front of my TV, start an episode of Friends, and get a solid 20 minute cardio session in. Now just to find a Prime Day deal…
4. Fitness and Nutrition Planner
My personal goal is to put on more muscle, and I know that having a good plan is key. These planners are best sellers on Amazon because of the easy-to-use layouts and low costs.
Since I’m currently using another planner, I’m hoping for a Prime Day fitness deal that will help me justify getting these too. From what I’ve seen, I think I’ll like these even better than what I currently use.
Other Prime Day Health and Wellness Deals
Lastly, here are a few other health and wellness Amazon products to look out for. I personally have and adore all of these things:
Sips by Tea Box
I adore Sips by for several reasons. First, they send you a box a month of personalized teas based on your preferences. Second, you don’t know exactly what will be in each box, so it’s a fun surprise to open. Third, they’re based in Austin, TX (and I frequently drive by their main location!). And fourth, because tea is self-care at it’s best. It’s such a simple, inexpensive way to indulge and feel comforted.
I think’s it’s great that you can get Sips by through Amazon now. Remember: since it’s a personalized box, it won’t be 2 day shipping like other Amazon prime products. But you can get a discount on your first box as a Prime member, and I’m staying tuned to see what Prime Day has in store.
Weighted Blanket
I received a weighted blanket as a gift about 2 years ago and y’all… I LOVE it.
I honestly think that everyone should have a weighted blanket.
When I’m stressed or feeling anxious, I throw on this blanket and instantly feel better. Since it was a gift from a bit ago, I’m not sure where it was from. But this weighted blanket has some the best reviews on Amazon (note: many people recommend sizing up if you plan to use it on your bed):
Good Housekeeping 400 Flat-Tummy Recipes & Tips
I’ve had this book for several years and still make recipes from it. My favorite aspect of the book is that most ingredient lists aren’t very long. This is truly a great investment if you’d like to eat healthier, lose belly fat, and decrease bloating.
Keep your eye out for these Amazon Prime Day fitness deals! And remember that you need an Amazon Prime account to get all the Prime Day discounts:
