Halloween can be the death of all well-intentioned health kicks. Regardless of where you are in your health journey, it’s damn near impossible to pass up on a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup – especially if it’s in the shape of a pumpkin. Gotta love holiday themed food, am I right?
I think it’s very important not to deprive yourself. We should all take part in the things we love. As an avid Skittles lover, I just can’t say no completely. But there’s a big difference between one Kit Kat and seven of them. Remember, portion sizes are crucial to any healthy lifestyle.
So what about when you’ve had that one candy bar, and now you’re craving the whole bag? Or maybe you’re trying to stay away from the processed festival altogether?
Ya girl’s got ya!
I’ve come up with some healthy Halloween goodies that are geared towards curbing your sugary cravings. And as they all contain some fruit, they’re filling in addition to being nutritious. They help you get more in the spirit of Halloween, even if you are just sitting at home watching a movie. Can’t feel bad about having one (or two, or three!) of these.
Who said adults can have fun on Halloween??

Dark Chocolate Bark
For all you chocolate candy bar lovers out there, I have a recipe to keep you satisfied all Halloween night long! This dark chocolate bark is a healthy Halloween treat you don’t have to feel guilty about.
You need: Dark chocolate, coconut oil (I used a little less than a Tbsp), dried apricot, dried mango, candy eyes to make it a lil more Halloween-y
Here’s where you can find the candy eyeballs on Amazon: Wilton Candy Eyeballs.88 oz.
To make: Chop up the dried fruit into small pieces. Melt the dark chocolate in 20-30 second spurts, mixing in the coconut oil when it’s almost completely melted. Let cool a little so it’s slightly less runny, then pour it into a baking tin lined with parchment paper (it will still be kinda runny so use something on the smaller side with high edges). Then sprinkle on the chopped up fruit and candy eyes. Pop it in the freezer until completely set – about 30 minutes. Once solid, break into pieces and enjoy!

Spider Web Apples
This is a healthy Halloween spin on my apple cookies with nut butter. Super simple to make, it can give you the holiday feels even if you’re just staying in for the night!
You need: One granny smith apple, chocolate chips, nut butter of your choice, and coconut flakes (if you’re feeling up to making a wispy web – I left mine off this time)
Simply slice up the apple and lay all pieces flat on a plate. Melt the chocolate, again in 20-30 second spurts, and then drizzle in a web pattern over the slices. Do the same with the nut butter. Add coconut flakes if you so wish! And that’s it!

Candy Corn Parfait
Candy corn seems to be one of those things that people either LOVE or they absolutely HATE. Whether you’re a fan or not, this healthy Halloween candy corn alternative is a tasty treat it’s hard not to love.
You need: Mango, clementine, and a banana
As easy as it looks. Layer the pineapple, then cantaloupe, and then a healthy portion of whipped cream in a clear cup/bowl (so you can see how pretty it looks). BOOM! Done.

Happy trick or treating!

Where do you get those candy eyes. They look like fun.
I got mine from my area’s grocery store, HEB. You could probably find them at any big grocery store chain. They’re also on Amazon – I just added a link at the bottom of the post!
